Harbour Expressway Turn Lane to Close on July 7Harbour Expressway Turn Lane to Close July 2July 2, 2026 – The eastbound left turn lane at the Harbour Expressway and Golf Links Road intersection will be closed to traffic today, Thursday, July 2, to allow for roadway improvements.
This work supports construction of an additional left-turn lane on the Harbour Expressway, helping to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and make better use of the existing road capacity along one of Thunder Bay’s key growth corridors.
Victoria & Archibald Intersection to Close
Lanes to be Reduced on Arthur Street for Line PaintingLane reductions will be in place on Arthur Street West between Highway 61 and Parkdale Boulevard starting on Friday, June 26 to allow for line painting.
At least one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction during the work, which is expected to take approximately two days to complete, depending on weather conditions.
Pacific Avenue Overpass to Close for Construction SeasonThe Pacific Avenue Overpass will be closed for the duration of the 2026 construction season starting on Monday, June 29 to allow for major rehabilitation work on this important transportation corridor.
During the closure, motorists will be detoured via the Main Street Bridge and Island Drive.
Section of Oliver Road to Close for Storm Sewer WorkOliver Road will be closed to through traffic between Dalton Avenue and Enniskillen Avenue beginning on Monday, June 22, to allow for storm sewer replacement work.
During the closure, detour signage will be in place, with traffic routed around the construction zone via Balmoral Street, John Street, and Ray Boulevard.
