Community Programming brings people together by fostering connection, creativity, and community pride.

From seasonal celebrations to pop-up activities, these programs are designed to be fun, inclusive, and responsive to the unique character of each neighbourhood.

In collaboration with local partners, Community Programming empowers residents to build stronger, safer, and more vibrant communities.

Together, we’re creating a city of connected communities β€” one neighbourhood at a time.

Pedal Forward

Pedal Forward is a pop-up bike program led by the City of Thunder Bay’s Culture & Events team, in partnership with Community Spokes and Active Transportation Thunder Bay.

This free, drop-in program invites community members to repair and ride away with an upcycled bicycle β€” all while learning basic bike maintenance skills in a welcoming, hands-on environment.

Pedal Forward promotes active transportation, sustainability, and social inclusion by improving access to bikes, encouraging sustainable mobility, and strengthening community connections.
