Plan to attend Movie Nights in the ParksJoin us this Thursday, Aug. 22nd at Vickers Park for Movie Nights in the Parks!
This week, come out early and enjoy an interactive Zumba workshop, engage with community groups, and make crafts with CAHEP from 7:00 – 8:00 pm as part of our community programming pre-show! Bring blankets, lawn chairs, snacks and beverages to enjoy the movie on the big screen, which will start around 8:00 pm.
Reduced lanes on Arthur StreetLane closures will be in place on a section of Arthur Street between Mountdale Avenue and James Street starting on Friday, August 16 to allow for resurfacing work.
Travel lanes on Arthur Street will be reduced to one in each direction in the area, and intersection approaches at Mountdale Avenue and James Street will be closed as work proceeds.
Parking enforcement tightens & North Core areas exempt for constructionStarting this Thursday, vehicles that violate the new expanded hours and paid-parking area regulations throughout Thunder Bay will no longer receive a first-time offence warning and will get a ticket.
Hours of enforcement, parking rates and enforcement locations were changed effective June 1 of this year.
Boulevard Lake playground to temporarily close for maintenanceThe playground structure at Boulevard Lake Park will be closed later this week to allow for maintenance work to be completed on the rubber surface.
The closure is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 14 at 4 pm, weather permitting.
