The City of Thunder Bay announced an exciting lineup of local and national talent for Thunder Bay’s premier summer concert series, Live on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation. From folk to classic rock, blues, pop and country, dozens of performers will take the stage including local favorites, along with award-winning Canadian artists.

Live on the Waterfront, a Festivals & Events Ontario Top 100 event, begins Wednesday, July 16, at Marina Park. Running every Wednesday evening from 6pm-9pm until August 20, the series includes a wide variety of music genres for everyone to enjoy. The series wraps up with Live on the Waterfront - Summer Send-Off on back-to-back nights on Wednesday, August 27, and Thursday, August 28, beginning at 6:30pm.  In addition to the amazing performers scheduled to play, the Summer Send-off event will feature Drone Light Shows, in partnership with the Thunder Bay International Airports Authority, where 400 drones will light up the sky each night.

"Live on The Waterfront’s lineup for 2025 includes an amazing array of Canadian talent that we have curated into various theme nights," said Laurie Abthorpe, Cultural Development & Events Supervisor. "We look forward to seeing great crowds out enjoying some awesome summer vibes every Wednesday at Marina Park."

Food vendors, games and activities for all ages will be on site each evening. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy live music, food, and community fun at Live on the Waterfront.

“Live at the Waterfront is what summer in Thunder Bay is all about - music, food, fun, and thousands of people enjoying the evening together,” said Karen Kadolph, Special Events Developer. “These events are more than just entertainment, they’re a chance to connect with neighbours, support local vendors, and make unforgettable memories!”
