The City of Thunder Bay has announced an impressive lineup of for this summer’s outdoor concert series, Live on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation.
Beginning Wednesday, July 15 at the Festival Area in Marina Park, this highly anticipated, free-to-attend eight-show series will include an array of artists spanning a wide variety of genres. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy evenings full of live music each Wednesday night from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Award-winning artists including 2023 JUNO Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Preston Pablo, and Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees, The Kings, will take the stage this summer, along with several talented musicians and rising artists from Thunder Bay and across Canada.
Live on the Waterfront culminates with a special Summer Send-Off on back-to-back nights Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27. Both nights feature powerhouse performances you won’t want to miss. A new Drone Light Show, in partnership with the Thunder Bay International Airports Authority, will light up the night sky on Thursday, August 27 following that evening’s live music performances.
"This year’s Live on The Waterfront line-up includes incredible talent, both locally and nationally," said Laurie Abthorpe, Supervisor - Cultural Development, Community Programming & Events. “We are excited to present a wide range of captivating high energy music, soulful vibes, and vintage sounds for all to enjoy.”
Food vendors, community groups, and games and activities for all ages will be on site each evening. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy live music, food, and community fun at Live on the Waterfront.
