June 3, 2025 The City of Thunder Bay is encouraging residents to show their support and appreciation for their neighbourhood School Crossing Guards during Crossing Guard Appreciation Week, from June 2 - 6, 2025.

“Crossing Guard Appreciation Week is an opportunity to recognize the dedication and invaluable service provided by our local Crossing Guards” said Michelle Reimer, Field Supervisor – Crossing Guards. “We extend our gratitude to them for nurturing a culture of safety in our community, one safe crossing at a time.”

This is a special opportunity to thank the dedicated individuals who help ensure the safe passage of children to and from school every day. Residents can show their support by giving a friendly wave, saying thank you, and always driving responsibly near school crossings.
