November 25, 2025 – A winter storm warning is currently in effect, and the City is urging motorists to use extra caution as road crews work throughout the community during the first significant snowfall of the season.
To help ensure everyone’s safety, we are reminding residents of the following winter driving tips:
• Reduce your speed and drive with care
• Increase your following distance to allow more time to stop
• Stay patient and avoid sudden maneuvers
• Remain alert for pedestrians and cyclists who may be harder to see in poor weather
Also, we encourage residents to give snowplows and salting trucks enough space so crews can operate safely and keep roads clear. Passing too closely or driving aggressively around equipment places both drivers and operators at risk.
If you encounter a road-related issue, please contact City Dispatch at 807-625-2195.
