The City of Thunder Bay and partners are proud to launch the 2SLGBTQIA+ Welcome Sticker Initiative that will see decals featuring the colours and symbols of the Progress Pride flag displayed across all City facilities indicating that Thunder Bay is a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.

Mayor Ken Boshcoff expressed strong support for the initiative, stating, "Thunder Bay is a community that values diversity and inclusion. By launching the 2SLGBTQIA+ Welcome Sticker Initiative, we are taking an important step in ensuring that everyone feels welcome and respected in our city. This initiative not only celebrates the diversity of our residents but also strengthens the fabric of our community."

Jason Veltri, President of the Rainbow Collective of Thunder Bay, shared his enthusiasm: "This initiative is a powerful statement of solidarity and support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. It’s encouraging to see the City of Thunder Bay take proactive steps to create inclusive spaces where everyone can feel safe and accepted."
