Animal Services in Thunder Bay is undergoing changes to its operations, and the creation of a new taskforce will shape how the service can better help animals in our community.

The City is looking for people to sit on the Animal Services Taskforce, a group that will come up with concepts on how Animal Services can better serve our community.

“It’s important that we hear from people who work with animals in Thunder Bay,” says Kristyn Lovato-Day, Policy & Research Analyst – Corporate Services.

“We want to hear from rescue groups, veterinarians, animal welfare workers, and people who have a genuine interest in collaborating for the future of Animal Services in Thunder Bay.”

People who are interested in taking part in the group can submit a statement of interest and resume to Kristyn.lovato-day@thunderbay.ca

More information on the application process can be found at www.thunderbay.ca/animalservices

Applications will be accepted until June 16, 2025.
