Nominations are now open to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Thunder Bay’s visual and performance artists, cultural and heritage professionals, organizations, and supporters. Awards will be presented at the 2025 Arts & Heritage Awards Gala on Oct. 23 at Magnus Theatre.
Nominations are being accepted in 16 categories such as: visual art, music, film, heritage, cultural sponsor and lifetime achievement. Nominations can be submitted online at www.thunderbay.ca/ArtsAndHeritageAwards until August 31, 2025.
“We look forward to an exciting return of the Arts & Heritage Awards to celebrate those who contribute to Thunder Bay’s vibrant cultural sector,” said Caitlyn McMillan, Cultural Development & Public Art Coordinator. “Everyone knows someone who is shaping our cultural landscape. By taking a few moments to nominate them, you can help bring their work into the spotlight and celebrate the impact they’ve made.”
Award recipients will receive a specially commissioned award by a local artist at the awards gala that will feature music and dance performances by some of Thunder Bay’s talented performers.
Ticket information will be released in September. A complete list of award categories and further information on the awards can be found at www.thunderbay.ca/ArtsAndHeritageAwards.
