PRO Kids is proud to launch its fourth annual Power to Play campaign with a 2025 fundraising goal of $30,000 to help hundreds of local families in financial need. Every year, PRO Kids supports children and youth by giving them the opportunity to participate in sports, arts and cultural programs. This fundraising campaign continues until May 16.

“We encourage everyone to give the gift of play to children in our community," says Amanda Prien, PRO Kids Coordinator. "Registration fees, transportation, and equipment costs continue to be leading barriers to participation. Together, we can remove these barriers and help kids belong, participate, and thrive."

Since its inception, PRO Kids has helped over 28,000 children and youth in Thunder Bay access recreational programs they otherwise could not afford. Campaigns like Power to Play are essential to ensuring no child is left on the sidelines.

The 2025 campaign is off to a powerful start thanks to a $5,000 donation from White Pine Electric.

“Giving back to the community has always been important to us,” said Jordan Ball, Project Manager at White Pine Electric. “This is our fourth year supporting Power to Play, because every kid should have the opportunity to learn to swim, play sports, or join a dance class.”
