June 5, 2015 - Resurfacing of the Harbour Expressway between Highway 11/17 and Golf Links Road will begin on Monday, June 8, and last approximately four weeks.

Work on the Harbour Expressway will proceed in three stages:

  • Stage One - Begins Monday, traffic movements will be permitted in an easterly direction only (i.e., travelling from Highway 11/17 to Golf Links Road), with all westbound lanes closed. Expected to take two weeks to complete.
  • Stage Two - All westbound lanes and one eastbound lane will be open to traffic. Expected to take one week to complete.
  • Stage Three - All eastbound lanes will be closed, and westbound lanes will be open. Expected to last one week.

Reduced speed limits will be in place to increase safety for work crews. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible; a detour route will be posted.

If travelling in the area is necessary, drivers are asked to use caution and obey all posted signage.

The construction schedule is subject to change, as various factors - such as weather - can have an impact on project timelines.
