The eastbound left-turn lane at the intersection of Harbour Expressway and Golf Links Road will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, July 7 to allow crews to pave a new additional turn lane at this intersection.

The existing turn lane is expected to reopen by 5:00 pm on July 7. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes while the closure is in place.

The work is part of an intersection improvement project that will add a second eastbound left-turn lane on the Harbour Expressway. Once complete, the additional lane will help improve traffic flow, and support future growth along one of Thunder Bay’s key transportation corridors.

The new turn lane will open following completion of line painting and final road markings. This work will require one additional temporary closure of the existing turn lane at a later stage.
