Due to the statutory holidays on Dec. 25 and 26, 2025 and Jan. 1, 2026,  dates for commercial and residential waste collection will change, with some collections taking place one day early.

Effective Dec. 22 until Jan. 2, please see changes below:

 

AREA 1 (collection day usually Tuesday)

  1. Tuesday Dec. 23 is moved to Monday, Dec. 22
  2. Tuesday Dec. 30 is moved to Monday, Dec. 29

AREA 2 (collection day usually Wednesday)

  1. Wednesday Dec. 24 is moved to Tuesday, Dec. 23
  2. Wednesday Dec. 31 is moved to Tuesday, Dec. 30

 

AREA 3 (collection day usually Thursday)

  1. Thursday Dec. 25 is moved to Wednesday, Dec. 24
  2. Thursday Jan. 1, is moved to Wednesday, Dec. 31

 

AREA 4 (collection day Friday)

  1. Friday Dec. 26 – NO CHANGE
  2. Friday Jan. 2 – NO CHANGE

 

Ensure your garbage is out for collection by 7 am on collection day as collection times vary. Do not place garbage on snowbanks or obstruct sidewalks. Make sure to position your garbage items (or garbage cart) three feet away from your GFL recycling cart.
