City workers installed eye-catching “Look. Listen. Live.” safety decals today at the point where CN Rail tracks cross the multi-use trail beside the Neebing Floodway. The decals will enhance the safety of trail users by reminding them to check for approaching trains at the rail crossing.
“We’re pleased to be able to add the decals during Rail Safety Week, and make the crossing safer for trail users overall,” said Brad Adams, the City’s Manager of Roads.
The decals were provided to the City by CN Rail and are part of a nationwide program for Rail Safety Week, which is facilitated by Operation Lifesaver Canada, a partnership initiative of the Railway Association of Canada and Transport Canada.
