A section of Balmoral Street between Forest Street and Cameron Street/Dease Street will be subject to lane restrictions and road closures beginning on Friday, Sept. 27 to allow for the completion of paving work.

On Friday, lane restrictions will be in place for southbound traffic, and northbound traffic will be detoured around the construction zone, as crews place a first lift of asphalt pavement.

On Saturday, this section of Balmoral will be fully closed to allow for placement of a second and final lift of asphalt.

Work is expected to be completed by the end of day on Saturday, dependent on weather conditions.

Motorists should expect significant traffic delays in the area during this time and are encouraged to take alternate routes if possible.
