Snow removal operations are scheduled to begin during night operations on Monday, March 2 at 12:00 a.m. midnight and will continue throughout the week.
Snow removal is undertaken only after significant accumulation has exceeded available storage within the road right-of-way and begins to impact traffic capacity. At that point, it is conducted to restore roadway capacity and reduce line-of-sight obstructions at intersections to improve safety for all road users.
Operations will begin in the city’s core areas, followed by major arterial roadways and bus routes. When possible, crews will also work during the day to widen roads and streets, and address visibility concerns at intersections.
Residents are reminded to watch for temporary “No Parking” signs if snow removal is scheduled on their street. These signs are placed in advance, and crews will begin work within 24 hours of signage being posted. Residents who rely on on-street parking are asked to move their vehicles promptly when signs appear.
Please follow all posted signage to avoid parking in areas where snow removal is taking place. Drivers who encounter snow removal operations in progress are asked to follow all signage and give crews plenty of space to work safely.
