This year, residents and visitors alike can celebrate Canada Day at Fort William Historical Park AND Canada Day on the Waterfront at Marina Park with both locations offering complementary events. Free activities, attractions and entertainment begin at Fort William Historical Park, from 10am-5pm, with festivities running at Marina Park from 3pm-9pm.
“We are very excited to invite everyone to celebrate this Canada Day, welcoming friends and neighbours to really enjoy Canada Day in Thunder Bay as we have so much to be proud of and grateful for,” said Mayor Ken Boshcoff.
With themes of ‘Walk Together. Experience Together. Celebrate Together,’ and ‘Remember, Learn and Engage’ the City of Thunder Bay and Fort William Historical Park encourage everyone to visit both events this year.
“This Canada Day, everyone’s invited to Fort William Historical Park for a free day of entertainment and fun activities to learn about and celebrate our nation's diverse heritage,” said Fort William Historical Park's General Manager Patrick Morash.
Events throughout Fort William Historical Park and at Canada Day on the Waterfront will feature cultural performances, including dance and live music, as well as food vendors and artisans. Attendees can engage in interactive activities including face painting, outdoor games, and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to comfortably enjoy the day’s activities.
