The City of Thunder Bay’s Live on the Waterfront performance series, presented by Ontario Power Generation, continues this Wednesday, August 13 from 6 pm – 9 pm at Marina Park with an exciting night of music celebrating cultural fusion and the sounds of summer.
This week’s lineup showcases three engaging acts bringing global sounds, creative collaborations, and captivating performances to the stage:
- 6:00 pm – Natalia Arroyo Ensemble: A musical journey across borders, led by accomplished Mexican violinist and composer Natalia Arroyo. Blending traditional Mexican music with elements of jazz, folk, and classical styles, the ensemble delivers a dynamic and culturally rich performance that transcends language and genre.
- 7:00 pm – YASSiN and Sean Terrio: A collaborative project between Sudanese-Canadian artist YASSiN and Canadian singer-songwriter Sean Terrio. Fusing electronic production with live instrumentation and soulful vocals, their music explores themes of identity, love, and unity through genre-blending innovation and artistic chemistry.
- 8:00 pm – The Band Destiny: A powerhouse R&B, soul, and funk group known for their electrifying stage presence, rich harmonies, and crowd-pleasing grooves. The Band Destiny brings the night to a vibrant close with high-energy music that moves both hearts and feet.
Live on the Waterfront continues every Wednesday evening through August 20, followed by the Live on the Waterfront: Summer Send-Off on August 27 and 28, which will include two spectacular Drone Light Shows in partnership with Thunder Bay International Airports Authority.
