Notice to close a highway is given pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, 2001 and the Corporation's Notice By-law. At its regular meeting on Monday, May 26, 2025, commencing at 6:30p.m., the City Council of Thunder Bay will consider passing a by-law to close the following highway:

The City’s interest in the untravelled portion Portion of Lane Adjacent to 330 St. George Avenue described as Part of FIRSTLY: LANE PL 1045 MCINTYRE; PT LT 15 PL 116 PORT ARTHUR AS IN PAB4515; SECONDLY: PT LT 15 PL 116 PORT ARTHUR AS IN PAB3993 EXCEPT PAB4515 &TBR428988; THUNDER BAY being PT 1 on Plan 55R-15385 containing a site area of 147.13 square metres (1538.70 square Feet) be closed and sold to the abutting owner.

A plan showing the location of the highways, together with a copy of the by-law, may be obtained from the City Clerk (address shown below) during business hours.

Before it passes the bylaw, the City will hear from any person (directly or by representative) who wishes to address this issue.  If you wish to appear before the Council, or if you simply wish to submit written comments for Council’s consideration, please contact the City Clerk using the contact information below before 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025.

Further notice is hereby given that on Monday, March 24, 2025 Council declared these highways (once closed) surplus to the City's requirements.
