The City of Thunder Bay’s Live on the Waterfront performance series, presented by Ontario Power Generation, continues this Wednesday, July 30, from 6 pm – 9 pm, with a soulful Blues Night at Marina Park.

This week’s lineup is all about homegrown talent, showcasing some of Thunder Bay’s finest blues musicians:

  • 6:00 pm – Dr Buck and the Bluesbangers: a seasoned three-piece blues band from Thunder Bay, known for their soulful harmonies, dynamic stage presence, and a shared passion for rockin’ blues. With over a decade of performing together and a debut album of original tracks, they’ve become a staple in the region’s blues scene.
  • 7:00 pm – The Bustle: a powerhouse all-female trio from Thunder Bay, blending original blues with rock, gospel, and funk — all delivered in rich three-part harmony. Proudly rooted in tradition while fearlessly pushing the genre forward, they made history in 2024 as the first Thunder Bay artists to reach the Semi-Finals at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
  • 8:00 pm – KT and the Rhythm Aces: KT and the Rhythm Aces is an 8-piece powerhouse that made a splash with their sold-out debut at Blues House Party 6 in January 2025. Featuring seasoned musicians and a whole lot of soul, this high-energy band delivers infectious grooves and feel-good vibes that keep people dancing all night long.

Now in full swing celebrating a different genre each week, Live on the Waterfront runs every Wednesday until August 20, followed by the Live on the Waterfront: Summer Send-Off on August 27 and 28, which will include two spectacular Drone Light Shows in partnership with Thunder Bay International Airports Authority.

Recognized as one of Ontario’s Top 100 events by Festivals & Events Ontario, the series brings together music lovers of all ages to celebrate local talent, Canadian artists, and the spirit of summer in Thunder Bay.

Bring your lawn chair, grab a bite from local food vendors, and enjoy an unforgettable evening of music, food, and community fun by the lake.
