The Anti-Racism & Equity Advisory Committee of Thunder Bay, established to address racism and promote equity within our community, is pleased to announce that registration is open for an important upcoming event: an Anti-Racism Community Discussion on Nov.28. This free event reflects the Committee’s ongoing commitment to fostering a more inclusive environment with the aim to gather diverse voices and perspectives and encourage dialogue about racism and equity. 

Lunch will be provided during this in-person event that runs from 10am to 3pm and features an array of dynamic speakers who will lead insightful and interactive sessions focused on the urgent issues facing our community. Participants can look forward to a day filled with impactful discussions, workshops, and presentations led by experts and community leaders dedicated to anti-racism and equity.

This event is open to everyone—individuals from all backgrounds, community leaders, educators, activists, and anyone interested in contributing to a more equitable Thunder Bay are encouraged to attend. Your voice is crucial in this ongoing conversation, and we welcome your participation in shaping a more inclusive community.

The Anti-Racism & Equity Advisory Committee was established to develop a plan of action to address racism in the City of Thunder Bay. The Committee provides advice on current policies and practices, diversity and racism, and such new initiatives that may arise from City Council.
