Curbside waste collection dates will change next week due to the Good Friday statutory holiday, moving to one day earlier for all residents. There will be no collection on Friday, April 3.

The following are the Easter holiday waste collection changes:

Area 1, Zone 1: Garbage & Recycling; Monday, March 30
Area 1, Zone 2: Garbage; Monday, March 30
Area 2, Zone 1: Garbage & Recycling; Tuesday, March 31
Area 2, Zone 2: Garbage; Tuesday, March 31
Area 3, Zone 1: Garbage & Recycling; Wednesday, April 1
Area 3, Zone 2: Garbage; Wednesday, April 1
Area 4, Zone 1: Garbage & Recycling; Thursday, April 2
Area 4, Zone 2: Garbage; Thursday, April 2 


In addition to the waste collection changes, the City of Thunder Bay’s Solid Waste & Recycling Facility and the recycling depots will be operating on holiday hours:

Good Friday, April 3: Closed
Saturday, April 4: 8 am - 4:30 pm
Sunday, April 5: Closed
Easter Monday, April 6: Closed  


Regular hours return on Tuesday, April 7.
