Scheduled maintenance work to the Neebing booster pumping station may cause water service interruptions to the residents of the Mount Forest Estates area. The planned maintenance is scheduled to commence on August 25, 2025 @ 9:00 am and is expected to be completed by end of day. Residents may experience fluctuating water pressure for the duration of work. Residents should also be aware that the work may temporarily cause discolored water in this area once the station work is completed and returned to service. The drinking water remains safe.
Staff will be working to discharge discolored water from the system.
Residents are advised to follow the steps below if they notice their water is discolored:
- Do not open any hot water taps.
- Open only one cold water tap (a tap that does not have a water filter system attached to it and ideally as close to the water meter as possible) and allow the water to flow at a medium flow until the water runs clear.
- Once the single cold water tap is running clear, open all other taps including hot water taps and flush until all water runs clear.
Running cold water taps for five minutes should clear any remaining discoloured water. If discoloration returns, please repeat steps 1-3.
If the water is not clear after following the steps above, residents can contact Infrastructure & Operations Dispatch at 807-625-2195.
