Beginning today, Thursday, June 19, traffic lanes will be reduced on Water Street between Fort William Road and Bay Street to allow for infrastructure and drainage improvements. This work is in preparation for asphalt resurfacing that is scheduled to start in August. The infrastructure and drainage improvement work is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete, weather permitting.

For everyone’s safety, motorists are reminded to drive with caution near the construction zone. The City thanks residents and businesses for their patience and understanding as we work to improve Thunder Bay’s infrastructure.
