WHEREAS, The Ontario Council of the Catholic Women’s League gathers in annual convention and meeting in a different community throughout the province each year;

WHEREAS, The 79th Annual Convention and Annual Meeting is being held in Thunder Bay and hosted by the diocesan council of the Catholic Women’s League;

WHEREAS, Members have been invited to participate in a joy-filled four days of faith, friendship and renewal;

WHEREAS, This year’s convention and annual meeting is each delegate’s opportunity to reconnect with the heart of the league;

WHEREAS, Delegates will be participating in service projects throughout the City learning about Thunder Bay’s uniqueness;

WHEREAS, Thunder Bay’s Superior by Nature will inspire, welcome and connect with delegates from all parts of the province. We proudly raise the CWL flag to demonstrate the League’s joy and unity with all.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Mayor Ken Boshcoff, on behalf of Thunder Bay City

Council, do hereby proclaim July 3, 2026 as the Week of Joy in the City of Thunder Bay.
