November 25, 2025 – The weather forecast indicates that we are expecting 5 – 10 cm of snow overnight. The City will be enacting winter route restrictions and the annual calendar parking, in effect as of Wednesday, November 26, at 9:00 am. Parking officers will be enforcing these restrictions.
During the winter months, the City enacts priority route restrictions and calendar parking to allow for snowplows to clear local streets more effectively. Calendar parking helps to ensure that at least one side of the street is clear of parked cars so that upon arrival, the plow can clear one side per day.
Calendar parking restrictions are in effect from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, while priority route restrictions prohibit vehicles from parking on either side of the road from 2:00 to 7:00 am to allow for efficient snowplow access.
Selected streets may have additional restrictions posted. Please adhere to the postings and signage for your area. All parking restrictions will remain in place until spring 2026.
When snowplows are on the roadways, we encourage motorists to drive with caution. Please stay at least twenty metres back and allow the plows enough room to manoeuvre.
