Outdoor Boarded Skating Rinks Open for the Season Tomorrow

The City’s boarded outdoor skating rinks will open for the season tomorrow. Residents are encouraged to grab their skates and visit one of the fantastic outdoor rinks that the City has to offer.

Some of the skating ponds still require flooding and maintenance prior to opening. 

The City operates and maintains 38 outdoor skating rinks. Supervised locations have standard operating hours of 2 pm – 10 pm, Monday – Friday, and 1 pm – 9 pm, Saturdays and Sundays. Each rink has different days of operations....

Garbage and recycling collection dates for all residents and businesses will change for the weeks of Dec. 22 and Dec. 29, as there is no collection on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019 or Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.

Resident Putting Out Garbage and Recycling

Extra Item of Garbage Allowed After New Year’s Day

Due to the increase of waste during the holiday season, the City will allow residents to put out a third item garbage with no tag on the first collection date after New Year’s Day.

Residents are reminded that wrapping paper cannot be recycled because of its high ink content and must be thrown away in the garbage.
