The following tax and water credit programs are available to eligible groups:
- High Water Bill Credit Program for Low-Income Seniors
- Tax Rebate for Registered Charities and Not-for-Profit Organizations
- Tax Adjustment for Property Changes
- Low-Income Seniors and Low-Income Persons with Disabilities - Deadline to file: July 31, 2024 (In 2018, the tax credit was increased from $200 to $400 to assist with the cost of snow removal from the end of driveways)

QualificationsYou may qualify for the rebate if your home is on the City of Thunder Bay water supply and you have a water account in good standing. We allow one application per household. You must own (not rent) a single-family home or duplex. Your home's downspouts must have been disconnected from storm and sanitary sewers. You must obtain applicable permits from City of Thunder Bay. A participating licensed plumber must install sewer back-up prevention valves. A qualified contractor must do other any work required.
