Get ready, Thunder Bay youth! National Youth Week returns from May 1 to 7, and the City of Thunder Bay is excited to celebrate the creativity, energy, and leadership of young people across our community.

Open to youth ages 10 to 18, this year’s lineup of free activities and events includes arts and crafts, food experiences, and opportunities to try something new. Every event is designed to help young people connect, express themselves, and have fun in a welcoming environment.

The City’s Recreation & Culture Division, alongside a growing network of community partners, has collaborated to deliver an engaging and inclusive week of programming. The City is especially proud to work with local organizations and establishments, including the Rock Room, Anishnawbe Mushkiki and Mario’s Bowl to name a few.

“National Youth Week is one of our favourite times of the year,” says Nina Arcon, Program Supervisor of Children, Youth & Strategic Initiatives. “It’s a great chance to celebrate the amazing young people in our community and provide them with fun ways to connect, learn, and be themselves. We love teaming up with our community partners to put together events that really show off the energy, creativity, and spirit of Thunder Bay’s youth!”
