Youth Move is for anyone between the ages of 10 to 18 looking for ways to get involved in their community, make some new friends and try different activities. Youth Move has drop-in sites, registered special events, and registered virtual programming.

Youth Week
May 1st - 7th is a special time for us at Youth Move as we celebrate YOUTH WEEK! Get ready for an action-packed week featuring activities tailored to youth ages 10 - 24.
Youth Week 2022 |
From in-person activities, to outdoor adventures, to virtual events, Youth Week 2022 has a lot in store for the youth of Thunder Bay. We are still planning our activities and hope to feature them in April 2022. Please visit the Youth Week Thunder Bay website for all updates and information.

Drop In Sites
Youth Move drop in sites are year-round spaces where youth are free to stop by. Check out the drop-down menu to see where and what we're up to!
Kinsmen Youth Centre |
Come hang out with us. Sports, games, crafts, snacks, food & more! Location: 609 James St. N
Mon - Fri: 3pm-7:30pm (new activities each day!) Sat: 1pm-4pm
Staff and participants must wear a mask where phyiscal distancing is not possible. Active screening will be mandatory and hand washing/sanitizing will be mandatory prior to entering our centre. Please complete the screening prior to drop off.
Participants ages 12+ will have to abide by the vaccination mandate and provide proof of vaccination as well as ID for entry.

Meet new friends as we engage in activities in the Saskatchewan meeting room of the Canada Games Complex and have an opportunity for an hour swim!

Special Events
Youth Move has a variety of events for youth to check out throughout the year. To register for any of our special events please visit our new, easy-to-use online registration option through PerfectMind! Registrations can also still be taken by phone at 625-8463 (hotline). To ensure everyone's safety during Covid-19 we have put several protocols in place for our special events including screening, social distancing, sanitization and more. Virtual Activities
To best engage and reach youth in Thunder Bay, we started running virtual recreational programming! From art to baking to exploring new hobbies - there is something for everyone! All events are free. This summer we have teamed up with the Youth Inclusion Program to run events together for ages 10-24. To register for virtual events this summer please see our online registration portal.

Things to know
Youth Move is nut safe – any food sent from home must be nut safe.
Youth may sign out at any time.
Participant Information Forms are required for all youth and can be found at any of the Drop In sites or Special Events.
If your child has a disability, we welcome them to come with a PSW or support may be provided through Junior Inclusion Services.
