Youth Move

Youth Move is for anyone between the ages of 10 and 18 looking for some excitement. This program offers both drop-in sites and registered special events for youth.

Drop in Sites

Youth Move Drop in Sites are year-round spaces where youth are free to drop by.  Check out the drop-down menu to see what we're up to! 

Kinsmen Youth Centre

Come hang out with us!

Games, crafts, video games, computer access, sports, snacks, and more. New activities each day! 

 

Please wear a mask (or one will be provided). Social distancing will be implemented. Covid-19 symptom check, tracing questions, and hand sanitizing prior to entering the building. Sanitization after each use of any equipment.

Special Events

Youth Move has a variety of different events for youth to check out throughout the year.  All of our special events are registered events.  To register for any of our special events please e-mail melissa.miller@thunderbay.ca with the participant's name, age, and address for delivery.

Youth Week 2021

National Youth Week happens every year from May 1st-7th and is a celebration of youth accomplishments and achievements in our community and across Canada. The City of Thunder Bay is excited to host virtual programming once again this year for Youth Week.

The Recreation and Culture Division, along with other community partners, has arranged different events for youth ages 12–24 to participate in virtually throughout the week with a focus on Community Connections. All events are free.

Things to know

Youth Move is nut safe – any food sent from home must be nut safe.

Youth may sign out at any time.

Participant Information Forms are required for all youth and can be found at any of the Drop In sites or Special Events.

If your child has a disability, we welcome them to come with a PSW or support may be provided through Junior Inclusion Services.
