Chippewa Summer Camps - Summer 2026

Chippewa Summer Camps is a registered week long summer camp program for children 5-12. Our summer term will commence on Monday July 6th and end on August 28th. We focus on nature-based activities and outdoor skill building on the shores of Lake Superior. Each week is themed and packed with outdoor arts & crafts, sports & games, camp skills, swimming and more!

Evening Adventure at Chippewa Park. Instead of an overnight stay, Campers in the Bears group will experience a unique evening at Chippewa Park (see weeks 3, 5 and 7 for Bears).

 

Registration

Registration for Summer 2026 will open on Tuesday April 7th, 2026 at 10:00am

Fees

Registration for 5 days is $220.46, additional children are $186.37

Registration for 4 day week (Aug 4-7) is $186.37, additional children are $149.10

*To receive a discount for additional children registering in the same week, you have to call registration. 

Transportation

Bus transportation will be provided for campers. Families can select either Volunteer Pool or Churchill Pool as designated Pick-up/Drop-off locations. Campers will be swimming daily in the afternoon at both pool locations.

Campers drop-off time is between 8:15-8:45 AM (buses leave at 9am sharp).

Campers pick-up time is between 4:30-5 PM daily.

Chipmunks (Ages 5-8)

July 6-10 Circus Spectacular - #41335

Step right up to witness the amazing Chippewa Summer Camps circus! Campers will juggle new skills, perform exciting acts, and experience the magic of the carnival through games, crafts, and creativity. 

July 13-17 Imagination Explorers - #41336

Join us for a week filled with creativity and adventure! Bring along your curiosity and get ready to explore. This camp invites campers to dream big through play, art, and teamwork. The ultimate week to use your imagination!

July 20-24 Shipwrecked and Seabound - #41338

Ahoy Mateys! Set sail for a nautical adventure where campers will explore an underwater world. From hidden treasure to ocean wonders, campers will dive into a world of pirates and sea creatures while learning and having a splash-tastic week!

July 27-31 Jurassic Safari - #41341
Join us for a journey back in time for a prehistoric adventure! Campers will explore the world of dinosaurs through games, crafts, and exciting activities. Plus, we’ll take a trip to Fort William Historical Park mid-week for a real-life adventure, where history and nature collide in this wild expedition!
Aug 4-7 (4 day week) Mission to Mars - #41365

3…2…1… BLAST OFF! Get ready for a week filled with intergalactic fun. Campers will launch into an out-of-this-world adventure and explore space, science, and cool experiments through games, challenges, and hands-on discovery!

August 10-14 Chippewa Ninja Challenge - #41343

Step into the world of ninjas! Campers will practice ninja skills by doing obstacle courses, secret missions, and teamwork games designed to build agility, focus, and confidence. We will be joined by special guests to teach us some ninja moves!

August 17-21 Summer Snow Days - #41345

Bring the magic of winter into summer! Campers will enjoy winter themed games, creative crafts and icy challenges that spark imagination and fun. Every day will be a chilly adventure full of laughter, teamwork, and *cool* surprises!

August 24-28 Pixels and Popcorn - #41347

Lights, Camera, Action! For the last week of camp, campers will step into the worlds of their favourite movies and video games through creative games and hands-on activities. From mining for diamonds to training like the K-Pop Demon Hunters, we’re sure to have something for everyone to close of summer 2026.

July 6-10 Let the Games Begin! - #41332

Kick off your summer with Chippewa Summer Camps! Join us for an action-packed week filled with exciting challenges and fast-paced games. Campers will work together, face off in friendly competition, and build leadership and teamwork skills while having nonstop fun. You won’t want to miss this!

July 13-17 The Great Camp Cook-Off - #41337

Turn up the heat this summer with Chippewa Summer Camps! Get ready for a culinary adventure where campers will get to learn new recipes, make up their own, and compete in cooking challenges based on shows like MasterChef and Is It Cake. Join us to cook up an unforgettable experience! 

July 20-24 Amazing Race Chippewa - #41339

In this high-energy camp, teams will have to work together to make it to the pit-stop at the end of each day. Racers will follow clues as they travel across the park and complete challenges to see which team can work together the most successfully. But be careful, there are detours, roadblocks, and even U-Turns that may trip up even the quickest teams! 

*On Friday night, the challenges will continue into the evening at an Evening at Chippewa event. Campers will stay at Chippewa into the evening and be dropped off at their designated pick-up/drop-off locations by 10:30pm.  

July 27-31 Wilderness Survivors #41340

Adventure awaits in the wild! Older campers will tackle survival skills like navigation, shelter building, and outdoor problem-solving while working together in team challenges. This week is packed with exploration, hands-on learning, and real wilderness adventures. Plus, we’ll take a trip to Fort William Historical Park mid-week for a real-life adventure, where history and nature collide in this wild expedition!

Aug 4-7 (4 day week) Secrets of the Forest - #41366

Think you have what it takes to solve the case? Put your detective skills to the test! Campers will solve puzzles, crack codes, and uncover secrets using team-work and hands-on activities to unravel mysteries of the forest. 

 

*On Friday night, the mystery will continue into the evening at an Evening at Chippewa event. Campers will stay at Chippewa into the evening and be dropped off at their designated pick-up/drop-off locations by 10:30pm.  

August 10-14 Amazing Ninja Warriors - #41342

Prepare for action-packed training! Campers will tackle obstacles, strategy challenges, and Ninja Warrior inspired team missions. This camp combines skill, speed, and teamwork for an unforgettable adventure. We will be joined special guests to teach us ninja moves!

August 17-21 Winter Olympics - #41344

Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking for fun, this week is sure to be a thrilling experience. Be a part of the camp’s own Olympic games where you can earn medals and have a blast in a fun and supportive environment. 

 

*On Friday night, the Olympics will continue into the evening at an Evening at Chippewa event. Campers will stay at Chippewa into the evening and be dropped off at their designated pick-up/drop-off locations by 10:30pm.  

August 24-28 Media Mania - #41346

Step into the worlds of movies and video games! Campers will tackle challenges, team missions, and creative projects inspired by their favorite stories and characters. Get ready to level-up your skills through creative gameplay and experience Chippewa Summer Camps like never before.

Things to know

  • Registration is required.
  • Chippewa is nut safe – any food sent from home must be nut safe.
  • Please pack plenty of water, food, athletic footwear and a hat, as well as a bathing suit & towel!
  • Ensure your child is wearing sunscreen.
  • A Participant Information Form is needed before the start of camp.
  • If your child has a disability or requires extra support, we welcome them to come with a PSW or support may be provided through Junior Inclusion Services.

 

Staff and volunteers

 Staff
All staff is trained in First Aid and Level C CPR and HIGH FIVE. HIGH FIVE supports the healthy development of children in recreation and sport.

 Where are camps located?
Camps are based at Chippewa Park on the shores of beautiful Lake Superior
 Camp Environment

Maximum Camper to Leader ratio is 10 to 1.

 Transportation

Drop off and pick up is at Volunteer Pool or Churchill Pool (identify which location during registration). Bus transportation to Chippewa Park is provided by an accredited bus company for campers and staff.  

 Swimming

Campers will be able to swim daily indoors at their designated pick-up and drop-off pool location between 3:30pm-4:30pm. Campers will also swim at Chippewa's Sandy Beach several times throughout their registered week (weather dependent). At all swimming locations, there are lifeguard(s) on duty to oversee safety and supervision of campers and staff.
