The City of Thunder Bay is pleased to host the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, July 25 at Live on the Waterfront, in collaboration with Superior Theatre Festival.

For the first time ever, the full orchestra will play a free outdoor show.

“It is exciting to have thousands of people able to enjoy our orchestra at once,” said Ash Young, Cultural Development & Events Supervisor. “It’s a great way to help them expand their audience.”

Winnipeg’s Raine Hamilton String Trio will also be performing on the OPG Community Stage on Wednesday night. Raine Hamilton released her new album, Night Sky, in March. While in Thunder Bay, she is also leading a youth songwriting workshop, funded in part by the SOCAN Foundation.

Rounding out the program for the evening is Saskatchewan folk artist and Canadian Folk Music Award nominee Zachary Lucky.

Live on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation, is funded in part by the Government of Ontario. Performances run from 6 pm to 9 pm every Wednesday until Aug. 29 in Marina Park.
