City Announces New Locations for Movie Nights in the Parks

The City of Thunder Bay is excited to announce the movie lineup and new locations for this year’s Movie Nights in the Parks, where movies will be shown in different neighbourhoods each week throughout the city.

This year’s three-part series will be held Thursday, August 19 at Kinsmen Youth Centre (Northwood), Thursday, August 26 at West Thunder and Thursday, September 2 at Balsam Park.

This year’s films are:

  • Thursday, Aug. 19  –  Toy Story 4
  • Thursday, Aug. 26 –  The Lion King (2019)

New Multi-space Parking Pay Machines Installed in North Core

New multi-space parking pay machines have been installed on a block of St. Paul St., Cumberland St., Van Norman St., and Park Ave.

“We are working towards modernizing our operations,” said Jonathan Paske, Supervisor – Parking Authority. “These new multi-space machines will give people more ways to pay, are user-friendly and easy to use.”

Two machines on each block will be replacing the old single-space parking meters. The transition to the new machines on St. Paul St. and Cumberland St....
