Section of John Street to close for watermain repair

A section of John Street will close on Tuesday, August 27 to allow for repairs to a watermain break.
John Street will be closed in both directions between Secord Street and Algoma Street beginning at 6am on Tuesday.
Access to the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot remains available via Memorial Avenue and Queen Street. The John Street access will be closed.

The City of Thunder Bay will be operating Delaney Arena in a modified capacity for the upcoming 2024/25 ice season due to ice refrigeration system failures and problems with the arena floor.

Section of Edward Street to close for resurfacing

A section of Edward Street between Riverview Drive and Victoria Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning Thursday, August 22.
The closure is expected to last for approximately two weeks to allow for asphalt resurfacing of the road.
Sidewalk access will not be impacted by the work. Through traffic along Riverview Drive and Victoria Avenue will remain available at the Edward Street intersections.
