Two Leaf and Yard Waste Collections this Spring

This spring there will be two Leaf & Yard Waste curbside collections. The first will take place between May 13 and 23, and the second between June 10 and 20 - on residents’ regular recycling days.

City Issues Traffic Notice: Phased Closures for McIntyre Street Area

The City of Thunder Bay is advising residents of upcoming road closures beginning Monday, May 5, as part of a phased traffic plan affecting the McIntyre Street area. These closures are necessary to support infrastructure work and ensure public safety during the project. The phased closures will take place as follows: Phase 1:

Thunder Bay Transit continues to roll out Lift Pass, its reloadable smart card. To continue to modernize how fares are paid, Transit will stop accepting paper tickets as payment on buses at the end of day, May 31, 2025.

City Council approves Kam River Heritage Park for Temporary Village

City Council has approved Kam River Heritage Park as the location for the City’s new Temporary Shelter Village. This decision is subject to final approval at the May 5th City Council meeting.
