Candidate nominations certified for the 2026 Municipal and School Board races

Eligible candidates, who filed their nomination papers prior to the August 21, 2:00 p.m. deadline in the races for Mayor, At Large Councillor, and Ward Councillor in the 2026 Thunder Bay Municipal Election have been certified by the Acting Returning Officer.

Eligible candidates were also certified for the English Public and English Separate school board elections.

Live on the Waterfront: Summer Send-Off, presented by Ontario Power Generation, closes out the summer concert series at Marina Park this Thursday, August 27, from 6 pm to 10 pm, with Summer Soundwave taking the stage, followed by a spectacular 400-drone light show in partnership with the Thunder Bay International Airport Authority.
