Thunder Bay residents are being asked for their feedback on the next phase of the city’s waterfront redevelopment at Pool 6.
The Pool 6 property represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape Thunder Bay’s waterfront, building on the success of Prince Arthur’s Landing. Developing Pool 6 is identified as a priority in the City of Thunder Bay’s new Smart Growth Action Plan.

City Issues Extreme Cold Weather Alert to Community

Environment Canada has issued a Weather Alert for the Thunder Bay area, with dangerously cold wind chill values expected to reach -40 C to -45 C beginning tonight and continuing into the weekend. This extreme cold is expected to last approximately 48–72 hours.
Extreme cold puts everyone at risk, with increased dangers for infants and young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, outdoor workers, and individuals without proper shelter, clothing, or food.
