Two individuals and four community projects received recognition tonight during the 10th Annual Mayor’s Community Safety Awards for their outstanding work in the community.

Leaf and Yard Waste Collection Begins October 27

The City of Thunder Bay’s curbside collection of organic leaf and yard waste will take place from Oct. 27 to Nov. 6 during residents’ regular recycling days. 

Homeowners must use paper bags for leaf and yard waste. Kraft paper bags are available at most hardware and grocery stores. Regular weight limits of 18 kg/40 lbs. per bag apply.

The Public Notice Period has ended for municipal and public response to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) on the proposed cannabis retail store (CANNA CABANA FORT WILLIAM – File# 1061762)  

The City of Thunder Bay has provided a response to the AGCO based on the Council approved Siting of Cannabis Retail Stores Corporate Policy.

The Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) would like to congratulate the successful Summer Company students who started and managed their own small business this past summer.
