Nearly 50 grade seven to 10 male students from Lakehead Public Schools throughout the city are attending the Engaging Male Students to Reduce and Prevent Gender-Based Violence workshop today aimed at preventing gender-based violence against women and girls. The City would like to remind residents not to place waste and recycling bags or cans on snowbanks during collection days.
“Waste on snowbanks poses a danger to both residents and waste collection crews,” said Jason Sherband, Manager – Solid Waste & Recycling Services. “Crews are not permitted to climb snowbanks to retrieve items.”
