Dan Davidson Set to Headline Live on the Waterfront

The August 15 edition of the City of Thunder Bay’s Live on the Waterfront goes country with three-time Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Award nominee Dan Davidson.
Davidson is Alberta’s most awarded country sensation. He exploded onto the Canadian country scene in 2016 with the release of his second single “Found” (co-written by Clayton Bellamy of The Road Hammers), which rocketed up the charts, making Davidson the number one charting indie artist in Canada. Scotland’s Breabach Set to Hit the Stage at Live on the Waterfront

The City of Thunder Bay’s Live on the Waterfront summer concert series continues next Wednesday, Aug. 8 with Scotland’s award-winning Celtic act Breabach.
In 2016, Breabach received the Scots Trad Music Awards ‘Folk Band of the Year’ for the second time and ‘Album of the Year’ for their fifth studio album ‘Astar’. A special Celtic Connections show to celebrate the album was held in February in Glasgow’s City Halls and was received with a sellout crowd and a five-star review in the Scotsman.

City of Thunder Bay Announces Movie Nights on the Waterfront Lineup

The City of Thunder Bay is excited to announce the summer lineup for Movie Nights on the Waterfront.
The series, presented by Ontario Power Generation, starts Friday, Aug. 17, and runs Fridays and Saturdays in Marina Park until Sept. 1. Movies begin after sunset when it becomes dark, around 9 pm, with the start time gradually becoming earlier by Sept. 1.
This year’s lineup:
- Friday, Aug. 17 – The Lego Ninjago Movie
- Saturday, Aug. 18 – Peter Rabbit
- Friday, Aug. 24 – Moana

Shred Kelly to Headline Wednesday’s Live on the Waterfront

The City of Thunder Bay’s Live on the Waterfront hosts its sixth edition of the season on Aug. 1 with headliner Shred Kelly.
Soaked in electric crescendos and folk-tinged, sing-along anthems, Shred Kelly is known for their high-energy live show that ignites dance floors with their alternative folk sound. Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra to Play Live on the Waterfront

The City of Thunder Bay is pleased to host the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, July 25 at Live on the Waterfront, in collaboration with Superior Theatre Festival.
For the first time ever, the full orchestra will play a free outdoor show.
“It is exciting to have thousands of people able to enjoy our orchestra at once,” said Ash Young, Cultural Development & Events Supervisor. “It’s a great way to help them expand their audience.”
