October 2, 2015 – Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) and Thunder Bay and District Entrepreneur Centre (EC) present Small Business Showcase during BDC Small Business Week™, on Oct. 22, 2015 at the Victoria Inn, Embassy Ballroom.
Small Business Showcase is a new event designed to improve and develop core communication and networking skills. Under the theme of effective communication, the event begins with a luncheon keynote presented by Barry Spilchuk, speaker and coauthor of A Cup of Chicken Soup for the Soul. He will later host an interactive workshop and share many strategies on how to grow your business. Valerie Marasco, Supervisor – Corporate Communications at City of Thunder Bay, will host the second interactive workshop titled How to Deal with the Media.
From 5 - 7 pm the public are invited to attend the free tradeshow and networking reception, visit exhibits and learn about emerging business start-ups and expansions as they debut their new projects and products.
