Section of Edward Street North Closed Friday for Repair

A short section of Edward Street North from Miles Street West to Park Row will be closed in both directions on Friday, Jan. 29, for water infrastructure repairs. Expected duration of the repair work is from 9 am to 4 pm.

Motorists are asked to plan alternative routes for Friday, and to drive with caution in the area of the road closure.

Thunder Bay’s key priorities were addressed during the 2021 Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference that took place Jan. 25 and 26. The Conference was held entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Residents Reminded to Stay Safe and Follow Rules at Outdoor Amenities

The city is reminding residents that the Provincial Order issued on Dec. 21, 2020 states, in part, that permitted outdoor recreational amenities may only open if people can maintain a physical distance of two metres from one another, and sports, or other sports or games where people may come within two metres of each other, are not practiced or played within the amenity.
