Thunder Bay’s key priorities were addressed during the 2021 Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference that took place Jan. 25 and 26. The Conference was held entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Residents Reminded to Stay Safe and Follow Rules at Outdoor Amenities

The city is reminding residents that the Provincial Order issued on Dec. 21, 2020 states, in part, that permitted outdoor recreational amenities may only open if people can maintain a physical distance of two metres from one another, and sports, or other sports or games where people may come within two metres of each other, are not practiced or played within the amenity.

The City of Thunder Bay and community partners remind all citizens to take extra caution when spending time outdoors, especially during extreme cold events. The Cold Weather Response Plan will be active for the duration of the COVID-19 municipal state of emergency.
