COVID-19 Forces Scaling Back of Summer Programs

With the Province’s extension of Emergency Orders, the City is cancelling certain summer Recreation & Culture and Parks programs and services and reducing its summer student hiring program that supports those services. City Council approved the service level changes tonight.

Section of James Street to Close for Watermain Replacement

James Street, at Riverview Drive, will be closed to through traffic, to allow for a watermain replacement. Work is starting on Tuesday, June 2, and is expected to be completed by the morning of Thursday, June 4.

In the coming weeks, James Street will undergo the final lift of asphalt pavement resurfacing. More details will be provided when available.

The construction schedule is subject to change as various factors, such as weather, can have an impact on project timelines.
