Public Asked to Help Keep Fire Hydrants Clear of Snow

With the recent accumulation of snow, Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue would like to ask residents for their assistance in expediting the process of keeping fire hydrants clear of snow.
Please do not cover or block fire hydrants when removing snow from your driveway and where possible clear access.
“Clearing snow around fire hydrants keeps them visible and accessible and will save valuable time in the case of an emergency,” said Deputy Fire Chief Dave Paxton.
