Male Students Attend Training on Gender-based Violence

Nearly 50 grade seven to 10 male students from Lakehead Public Schools throughout the city are attending the Engaging Male Students to Reduce and Prevent Gender-Based Violence workshop today aimed at preventing gender-based violence against women and girls. Broadcasts of Weekly City Council Meetings Resume Nov. 26

Televised broadcasts of weekly Committee of the Whole (COW) and City Council meetings will resume on Monday, Nov. 26 after being temporarily suspended during the October 22 municipal election period.
The Nov. 26 meeting will be the last meeting for the 2014-2018 members of City Council.

Court of Appeal Dismisses CN’s Motion for Stay

The Court of Appeal for Ontario has dismissed CN’s request to stay, or postpone, the court’s order made in June 2018, which required CN to reopen the James Street Bridge for vehicle traffic and maintain the bridge in accordance with the 1906 agreement.
