Annual Report on Drinking Water Quality Now Available

The City of Thunder Bay has released the 2018 Drinking Water Quality Annual Report.
This report details water quality results from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2018, in accordance with Ontario Drinking Water System Regulation (O. Reg. 170/03) under the Safe Drinking Water Act 2002. It also contains information on how your water is treated, how it is delivered, and an update on the City of Thunder Bay’s Corrosion Control Program for lead.

City Extends Pop-Up Patio Pilot until 2020

The City of Thunder Bay will be extending the Pop-Up Patio Pilot until 2020 to allow temporary, seasonal patios and seating areas to be built in front of businesses.

City Resident Found Guilty Of Illegal Outdoor Burning

A Summerhill Drive resident was found guilty of illegal outdoor burning earlier this month in Provincial Offences Court and was fined $360. The charge stems from a June 2018 incident.
“Any outside burning within the City of Thunder Bay requires an annual permit,” said Division Chief Eric Nordland. “Permit rules and regulations are strictly enforced.”
