At the City of Thunder Bay, there are opportunities for students to develop their skills. The Child Care Field Placement Program can provide you with real work experience in the child care field. Please review the Child Care Placement Program Manual for more information.

Length of placements

The length of placements will be full days up to five days per week, over a four month period.

Placements may be available at the following City Child Care Centres:

  • Woodcrest Child Care Centre
  • Ogden Child Care Centre
  • Algoma Child Care Centre
  • Grace Remus Child Care Centre

Placement program partners

  • Confederation College
  • Oshki-Pimache-O-Win Education and Training Institute
