Beginning Tuesday August 4, the intersection between Red River Road and Court Street will be closed for up to three days for the installation of new traffic signals and pedestrian crosswalk lights.
Businesses and sidewalks remain open during the construction.
The City of Thunder Bay is embarking on a once-in-a-generation project to redesign the streets in the North Core/Waterfront District area. This opportunity exists because the watermains and sewers below the street are at the end of their useful life and need to be replaced; work which will require the excavation of the streets from storefront to storefront.
