The City of Thunder Bay is pleased to provide a Recreational Vehicle Pumping Station for the convenience of residents and visitors to Thunder Bay. There is no charge for this service.

Location and season

The station is located on Legion Track Drive behind the Delaney Arena.

  • The station opens each spring on the second Friday in May; and
  • closes each fall on the second Friday in October.

  1. Take Highway 61 to the intersection at Arthur Street
  2. Turn east on Arthur Street, and travel 2.6 km to the intersection at Waterloo Street
  3. Turn left on Waterloo Street, and travel to the next traffic signals at Victoria Avenue East
  4. Turn left on Victoria Avenue East
  5. Turn right on Legion Track Drive (the first street you will see on your right)
  6. Travel 400 m north on Legion Track Drive
  7. Behind Delaney Arena, on your right, you will find the RV Pumping Station

Non-commercial vehicles

Non-commercial vehicles are welcome to visit the RV pumping station to:

  • Obtain fresh potable water
  • Empty out holding tanks

Pumping station rules

  • Please enter the station from Victoria Avenue.
  • Traffic in the RV Station is one-way only - follow the signs.
  • Help us keep the pumping station clean by washing down dump pad after use.
