The City of Thunder Bay is excited to announce the activity line-up for Winter FunDays, presented by 99.9 The Bay and Country 105. Winter FunDays start Sunday, Dec. 30, at Prince Arthur’s Landing and run every Sunday until March 17, 2019, from 2 pm to 4 pm unless specified otherwise.
Winter FunDays activities include:
- Dec. 30 - Skating party with the Thunder Bay Skating Academy
- Jan. 6 - Winter programming with Parks Canada
- Jan. 13 - Winter programming with Parks Canada
- Jan. 20 - FIS World Snow Day Activities with City of Thunder Bay Children and Youth
- Jan. 27 - Dogsledding with Boreal Journeys Sled Dog Kennel from 12 pm – 4 pm
- Feb. 3 - Thunderwolves Day on the Waterfront
- Feb. 10 - Bannock over the fire with the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre
- Feb. 17 - Harry Potter in the Winter Themed Treasure Hunt with Willow Springs
- Feb. 24 - Cabane à sucre with Club Culturel Francophone de Thunder Bay
- Mar. 3 - Winter science themed stations with Science North
- Mar. 10 - Winter programming with Parks Canada
- Mar. 17 - Costume skate with All the Daze Productions
The Community Arts & Heritage Education Project (CAHEP) will be offering crafts in the Baggage Building Arts Centre from 1 pm – 3 pm during every Winter FunDay. Craft activities include: creating hot air balloons; water-painting, flow-painting, and various collage projects; write, design, and draw a comic book story; and learn how to stitch on soluble paper.
